Overview:
This project involved the renovation of the basement, first and second floors of an historic house dating back to 1791, requiring careful coordination with Maryland Historical Trust. Work consisted of extensive historic masonry repair, roof / gutter repairs, plaster repairs, wood flooring repair / replacement, all new HVAC systems, installing a natural gas service and all new electrical wiring. New historical exterior doors were installed and all windows received storm windows. The interior plaster and trim were carefully repaired and then the interior and exterior of the house was painted. Heart pine floors were originally used throughout the majority of the house and many rooms needed repairs and, in some cases, complete replacement with materials to match the original flooring before everything was refinished.
