The main entrance plaza and lobby underwent extensive renovations to modernize the aesthetics, provide ADA compliant access, replace crumbling concrete steps, provide new lighting and to refurbish the elevators.
The concrete stairs were demolished and marble steps were installed along an ADA lift. The Lobby storefront and doors were removed and replaced with an insulated storefront and automatic doors.
The Lobby had new marble floors installed along with a modern reception/security desk.
All work occurred while the building was occupied. Temporary stairs, railings and covered walkways were provided and moved as necessary for occupant access to the building. The building is 12 stories and hundreds of people use the entrance on a daily basis. All work was coordinated with building occupants and activities.
