St. John’s College – Campbell & Randall Hall Bathrooms, and Campus Loading Dock

Annapolis

Overview:

A.R. Marani recently completed the renovation of three multi-stall/use bathrooms at Campbell Hall and two multi-stall/use bathrooms at Randall Hall located at the St. John’s College in Annapolis. The demolition included removal and replacement of all sanitary, domestic water, and vent piping. All existing finishes were removed back to the original substrates. New construction included sanitary, domestic water, vent piping, bathroom exhaust fans, ADA compliant bathroom and shower facilities. Additionally, new tile was installed throughout the bathrooms. Toilet partitions were installed as well as new plumbing and lighting fixtures. Sprinkler and fire alarm systems were updated to comply with current codes.

The work started on May 15th, 2022 when classes ended before the summer break and was completed on August 19th, 2022, in time for classes to begin on August 21st.

During this same timeframe, St. John’s had A.R. Marani rebuild the loading dock area. This area receives all deliveries for the campus (food, supplies, furniture, etc.). Trash compactors are also located in this area. All trash is brought to this area to be removed from the campus. The existing concrete slabs/sidewalls, masonry walls, and fencing were demolished. The area was expanded to provide space for two automatic trash compactors and for two trash dumpsters instead of one each. The work included new concrete paving, brick walls to match the historic campus arch, wood fencing and gates, bluestone walls and stair, and a new electrical service for the compactors.
