Overview:

A new two-story 17,300 sf facility constructed for environmental education. The ground floor houses offices, classrooms, a conference room and storage areas as well as mechanical space. On the upper level are the main public spaces and exhibits. There is a main hall full of exhibits designed by the Maryland Science Center, an Animal Care room for maintaining the many live animal exhibits, a Nature Store with an exterior Retail Terrace, a multipurpose room for seminars, public bathrooms and offices. There is also a loading dock and attached metal storage silo for the larger items sold by the Nature Store.
