Good Counsel Church



A.R. Marani, Inc. was selected as the contractor for this project, which is the renovation of the church sanctuary and altar area. The renovation included removing all pews and relocating to storage area, removing all floor finishes in sanctuary/altar area, which included abatement of 3,000 sf of asbestos floor tile. ARM replaced the damaged portions of subfloor and installed new hardwood oak flooring. The vestries, confessionals and west chapel all had the original existing wood flooring refinished.

Some pews had to be modified to fit with a new configuration where they were reinstalled to include aisles and more handicap accessible seating along with new stainless-steel railings.

The audio-visual system was upgraded to include a new audio mixer and media player. New microphone locations were added, and all microphone and speaker wire were replaced throughout and installed beneath the new wood flooring. The lighting was upgraded to LED.
