This is a free-standing 10,500 sf masonry and steel frame single story retail building developed for multiple tenants. The site was extremely challenging because of its location on Belair Road which made access for construction work and deliveries very difficult. The site was also challenging because it was partially on a landfill and the soil conditions were unusable. While the building itself was fairly basic the site required unusual methods to bring it to proper condition to support the building and parking lot. Several feet of undercut was required as was the use of soil cement so that the existing dirt could be reused.
