The work includes the removal of everything except the exterior walls, roof structure and floor framing. The rear part of the building was a loading dock area that will be enclosed to become part of the office building. The building requires all new plumbing, hvac, electric, interior finishes, windows and d , e . New entrance stairs and exist stairs will also be added.
Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Building Machine Shop
Interesting project at JHU Homewood Campus . Constructing pile supported foundations for three massive multimillion dollar milling machines .
Working inside the first floor of an occupied lab building . We removed everything from one side of the existing machine shop so that our drilling equipment would be able to operate . Later , after the foundations are complete the new machines have to be rolled very carefully into place .
Then we have to reconstruct the space around the machines .
Our project at Martin’s Plaza is nearing completion.
